Best Time To Trout Fish Western North Carolina
Spring: During the months of March, April and May trout fishing is at its peak. Truly one of our favorite times to guide and put our clients on all different species of trout. Spring offers beginners and expert anglers a chance at a trophy trout as well as quantity of trout.
Summer: Fly fishing in the summer is great and tons of fun! Expect to chase after wild trout in headwater streams and smaller rivers. The goal for our guides is to find colder water that provides a healthy habitat for trout fishing. Wild rainbows, wild brown trout and the native brook trout can all be caught this time of year.
Fall: October, November and December are peak trout fishing months. With the crisp fall air, the fishing is as pleasant as the weather. A great time of year to catch multiple species and go after that huge trout you've always been wanting to catch.
What To Expect
